Aroma and Flavor Accessibility Tarot

From NYC artist activist Sal Mercury, a companion tarot guide to all 78 cards of the SalTarot in the form of aroma and flavor recipes in order to be accessible to the blind in a pre-language way, and to also be fun for everyone. In the same way it is difficult to convey the power and beauty of a piece of music to a deaf person, in which through words and language much information is lost and much meaning is distorted as it filters through our logic processing and passes across eons of social conditioning, a visual artwork is also misrepresented. Rather than leaving the descriptions of the cards up to a probably botched group of words and already subjective interpretations, I thought it would be more effective to communicate the expressions with a different sensory system, so that they might retain their purity of motive and eccentricity. This book is meant to be used along with the SalTarot deck of cards. Some recipes contain elements that are not safe to consume and they need to remain as fragrances, and are labeled. The recipes are organized in a way that each one could be made into a cocktail or a perfume. Use discretion when consuming any natural substance and be mindful of personal health needs. Please enjoy!
