However, this Book of Centuries is unique!
It contains both the Gregorian calendar and the Hijri (Islamic) calendar, specifically with the Muslim child in mind.
Inspired by the Book of Centuries used by Charlotte Mason, this unique BLANK notebook brings together National, World, and Islamic history into one notebook for kids!
It’s a portable timeline allowing children to visually understand how events in history overlap – most significantly, how their Islamic heritage fits into World and National history.Beginning at 4000BCE up to the present day, each double spread signifies one century in the Gregorian calendar.Alongside the Gregorian dates at the top of the page, you will also find the corresponding dates in the Hijri/Islamic calendar.Within the pages of this BLANK notebook, your child can make brief notes of the people, places, or events of historical significance as he learns about them. This could be just a few words to trigger his memory, a small sketch on part of the page, or even glueing images he has found online.
Each decade has subtly been marked on each page to help your children align their entries with the correct dates in the book.
Slowly, over months or years, as your child learns about new events in history, he can add notes on the relevant pages of this book. As more and more names and events are added, your child will start to understand how these events in history fit together.
Out of love and respect for our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we have included extra pages for his blessed life and separated these pages with special decorative motifs.
