About the Author

A native of Clinton, Mississippi, Joel Parkman was educated in his home state as well as in Texas and at Eberhart-Karls University in Tuebingen, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Baylor University and has studied creative writing at the University of Houston. He has taught in Hong Kong as well as in Texas. Twice he has worked in Moscow. Now he lives in Houston where he writes both fiction and poetry.
