It is a knife with a blade no more than 5.9″, which was popularized by the gauchos in the Pampas region of Argentina.

It was an indispensable tool that was used for rural and domestic tasks.

Its use for personal defense also became popular.

The gauchos had developed a true fencing technique together with the poncho that was used as a shield to avoid the stabbing of the rival.

Care instructions

Hand wash with warm water and a mild detergent; rinse and dry immediately.
Do not place in the dishwasher.

Grease the wooden handle as needed with food grade mineral oil.
