Public Domain Notice:
This book is a combination of two things: (1) original content created by Jon Pfeiffer and
(2) U.S. Court cases which are in the public domain. Jon Pfeiffer had edited the cases to highlight a
particular topic for his COM 570 students, and is then assembled in a unique fashion. Cases from the U.S. Supreme Court and lower U.S. courts are United States Government Works in the public domain. They may be freely copied and retransmitted (see 17 U.S. Code § 105).
