Messages, Mermaids, Mandalas, and More in the Sand: July 2020 Bandon, Oregon

In July of 2020, Bandon, Oregon, was the site of 9 labyrinth draws, a 4-day draw and a 5-day draw. Denny Dyke and his team of artists draw and groom intricate patterns in the sand on the beach down from Face Rock Park. Hundreds of people from far and wide come to see CIRCLES IN THE SAND and walk the paths, many with cameras in hand clicking as they walk. There is a theme each time, such as Zen, Celestial, Ocean, etc. Meri, the Mermaid is a frequent design in the sand. Quotes are inscribed in the sand along the edge of the path as one is near the exit. This book features collages of all of those quotes (messages), exquisite mandalas made out of sea shells, Meri, the Mermaid, and so much more.
