Synopsis:
Hidden among the glaciers on Axel Heiberg Island, high in the Arctic Circle, are mountain bike lines too incredible to ignore. Harsh temperatures, volatile weather and nine-month winters mean the area is normally devoid of human life. But each summer, this frozen landscape flourishes under endless daylight, revealing a spectacular ecosystem. Since the last ice age, glaciers have exposed massive polar deserts with the perfect moisture-to-sediment ratio on terrain unlike anything ridden in the history of the sport.
Veteran freeride mountain bikers, Darren Berrecloth and Cam Zink, embark on an expedition to the top of the world to explore this relatively unknown land, while sharing their knowledge with emerging stars Carson Storch and Tom van Steenbergen. With guidance from scientists based on the island, they discover a rapidly changing environment steeped in history, along with descents topping 2,500 feet.

About the Director

Jeremy Grant has been working with Freeride Entertainment as an editor, cinematographer, and director for 15 years. Mountain biking films are his specialty, with him also having directed Where The Trail Ends (2013) and Rad Company (2014).
My goal for the films that I work on is always to find the human elements in these super human athletes, said Grant. I am as interested in what makes them think as I am in the insane stunts they achieve.
Jeremy’s work has also been featured as director of Red Bull Rampage s Signature Series and Joyride on NBC, and in commercial work for mountain bike brands.
