This durable Palmgren vise is accurately machined of high grade iron castings with ground steel jaw to withstand hard usage. The body jaw plate is extra heavy steel with one horizontal and one vertical groove. The steel adjusting screw has a precision cut Acme thread with extra long thread bearing in the body. The swivel base provides complete rotation to any horizontal angle and is graduated the full 360º for accurate angle settings. Two bolts and steel swivel base plate provide positive locking of the body at the required angle. the base has 5/8″ keyway and two bolt slots for locating and mounting on the machine table. Vise is excellent for milling, grinding, drilling and tapping operations.
