Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspected gunman concerned in an obvious assassination try on former president Donald Trump on the Trump Worldwide Golf Membership in Florida on Sunday, was charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction over 20 years in the past.
“I figured he was both useless or in jail by now,” Tracy Fulk, the charging officer within the case, tells WIRED. “I had no clue that he had moved on and was persevering with his escapades.”
In response to courtroom information from the Guilford District Courtroom in North Carolina obtained by WIRED, Routh was arrested by the Greensboro Police Division on December 16, 2002.
