There is talk of the forthcoming release of a Vivo Y77 series phone that will allow 80W charging

Recently, a Vivo phone with the model number V2219A was discovered in TENAA’s certification database. The gadget’s final name is yet unknown. It was first thought to be released as an X-series phone. On the other hand, information leaker Blad says it will be released as a Y-series device.

The source says the V2219A will be a Vivo Y77 model. He also mentioned that this will be the first Y-series phone to include 80 watts of fast charging. Meanwhile, another tipster, Paras Guglani, has hinted that Vivo will introduce the Y77 5G series with features like the Dimensity 8100 chipset and 80W charging next month (July) in China. The Vivo Y77 5G and the Vivo Y77 Pro 5G could be among the smartphones in the range.

The Vivo V2219A is a high-end smartphone with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen and an octa-core processor running at 2.2 GHz. It appears that the V2219A does not use the Dimensity 8100 SoC.

The device supports up to 512 GB of internal storage and 12 GB of RAM. There does not appear to be a microSD card slot on the gadget. The Android 12 operating system is likely to be pre-installed.

The V2219A has a dual-cell battery with a 4,380mAh (rated) capacity and appears to support 80W fast charging. It’s not clear whether the fingerprint scanner is built into the screen or located on the device’s side. Both a front-facing 8 megapixel camera and a rear-facing dual-lens 50 megapixel + 2 megapixel camera are included in the smartphone. It has a thickness of 8.59 mm and a total mass of about 194 grams. Black and white versions will be made available.
