Using the Expert RAW Camera app on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has been made available

It’s been about a year since Samsung’s Expert RAW software became available for the Galaxy S22 series and a few other older Samsung phones. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will now be compatible with Samsung’s Expert RAW, thanks to an upcoming update. Since Samsung had previously stated that the update would be released in April, it has come a little late.

Samsung has updated the Expert RAW app to include support for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, as first reported by Sammobile. It also includes a few speed improvements, including faster processing times in low-light conditions and improvements in image quality.

If you’ve never heard of Samsung’s Expert RAW app, here’s a brief explanation. More advanced photographers will like the app’s larger dynamic range and extensive set of manual shooting capabilities, which set it apart from other camera applications. Also, the software lets you shoot in RAW format, which lets you use other programs like Adobe Lightroom to edit the photos later.

The update can be obtained through the Galaxy Store in a 50MB package. Our hopes are high that the Expert RAW software will soon be accessible for devices like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, S20 Ultra, and Z Fold 2 that have been patiently waiting for it to arrive.

The new support update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 owners is a boon for photographers. Even though the software won’t change the way a smartphone’s camera works in a big way, customers can expect a stronger solution and a lot of options for fine-tuning with the app.
