With the upcoming release of the Xbox app and cloud gaming on Samsung smart TVs

For years, Microsoft and Samsung, two of the world’s largest technology companies, have had a tight working relationship because of the numerous exclusive features they have provided for one another’s operating systems. For example, the My Phone app on Windows can only be used to open mobile apps on Samsung Galaxy devices rather than Microsoft Surface Duo tablets.

Microsoft has revealed that certain of the next Samsung smart TVs will include the Xbox App and Game Pass, further expanding the partnership between the two companies. The new features will be available on Samsung’s Gaming Hub, which is the first Smart TV platform to host the Xbox software.

Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox App and Game Pass will be available on the Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and QLEDs. Over 100 high-quality titles like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 can now be streamed directly from the Xbox App, allowing these TVs to essentially become gaming consoles. Xbox Game Studios will be able to release new titles on Day One for users.

People who don’t want to buy a new Samsung TV don’t have to worry because the Xbox Game Pass will be able to stream directly to their TVs using a dongle device called “Keystone” that was made by Microsoft.
